DMD EDITION

1st Edition

Digital Music Days began in Lisbon in 2019, being the first DMD edition, with keynotes from Charles Caldas and Helen Smith. The first Caldas Award was awarded for championing independent music, to its namesake Charles Caldas. Over 200 people attended the two day conference at the CCB venue in Belém, Lisbon, Portugal.

2nd Edition

In the year 2020, in the second edition of Digital Music Days, the world faced challenges and restrictions due to the global pandemic. So DMD created a strategy in order to still be able to hold the event. This way, the event took place entirely online, where various artists, industry professionals and music lovers from all over the world came together.

3rd Edition

The third edition of digital music days took place online. As in the previous year, still for the same reasons, Covid-19. It counted on the participation of Merlin, as well as all the major DSP’S such as Apple, Deezer, Amazon, YouTube, among others, in order to present the latest artist facing news. DMD also introduce digital marketing tools and techniques as well as playlist projects and some fresh topics on digital industry.

4th Edition

After two online editions, the Digital Music Days returns in 2022, 4th edition, at Centro Cultural de Belém. In the 4th edition there were several panels about digital music, streaming trends, and start-ups. We also had the opportunity to host a Keynote from Paul Pacifico, CEO of AIM, our UK counterpart trade association; and from Hazel Savage, a music technology veteran, guitarist and former CEO/Co-Founder of Musiio.
